The blue pearl
captures your eye
and draws you closer
Movement
makes the colours
shimmer and dance
like sunlight
on crystal clear water
When you see someone
wearing a blue pearl your
eye is drawn to it,
You are overcome by the irresistible urge to steal another look.
It seems only fitting that Eyris Blue
Pearls will be distributed by the owner of the domain
www.pearls.com
and the tag line ‘We are Pearls’. Having the expertise in pearling
that spans several generations’ means that Peter Bazar, President of
Imperial-Deltah, immediately saw an opportunity with these rare blue
pearls that are unique to New Zealand. He saw the quality of the
abalone gems and decided to go on his own journey to Christchurch,
New Zealand where he met the man behind the Blue Pearl – Roger
Beattie and to see this pearl process first hand.
Roger Beattie,
Managing Director of Eyris Blue Pearls was inspired by the discovery
of several natural abalone pearls in New Zealand and started the
quest for the Blue Pearl 20 years ago. The blue pearl is a product
of the Haliotis Iris or Paua Shell which is native to New
Zealand and can only be gathered by free-diving in often adverse
weather conditions. It takes up to three years to culture each
pearl and the overall success rate for saleable pearls is only 25
percent.
Roger has recognized the potential of the US market
for some time, “We have been looking for the right partner in the
US, we feel fortunate to be working with Imperial-Deltah. Beyond
their professionalism and design for flair we see a real enthusiasm;
they get the Blue Pearl."
